I have a car that is broken down on the road. I have had it parked in a spot near the apt I used to live at for almost a year now. It is in very poor condition and dosen't run. Its been collecting tickets and is uninsured. I'm in NY and was hoping that someone could help me with any tips on either junking or donating the car. I do not have the title or keys. This is important because I have been driving my car illegally without insurance for almost 4 months now. My liscence has been suspended and I need to hand in my plates but one of my current plates is on that car. Does anyoen know what happens once I hand my plates in? Do all parking tickets need to be repaid priot to getting my liscence and registration reinstated? Thank you.

This car I bought with no title. Igot it fixed for less than $2000 and has only 19,000 miles. I have a bill of sale and the receipt from the auction sold it to the lot with a not: Titlte has been Junked, owner will not reinstate Itried everything I could but unsuccessful. The insurance junked the title has no interest in even discussing the matter because they claim they have already sold the car to the auction but the clerck's office record indicat that the title had been junked by the insurance and only the insurance has the authority to act on behalf of the car. I did my explaination that with my bill of sale I now own the car but no one seemed to care for an (almost) brand new car. Any suggestions guys? I sure do appreciate it. Thanks and god bless.

I wrecked my car and did a lot of damage under the hood, BUT I didn't do any damage on the body or anything.. The body is in excellent condition and I didn't break any windows. I wrecked the motor enough to need a new one and damaged the timing chain and oil pan. So should I junk my car or try and sell it in a shoppers guide or something?
I did have insurance on the car but only liability. I think I might have hydroplaned off the road. I don't know how I managed not damage the body. I hit a cement block that was in a ditch but it wasn't sticking out of the ground. I landed on the cement block. I cannot fix the car I paid 5.500 for the car and a used engine cost 4,000$ and up. Plus I have to pay for the other parts too.
