I wrecked my 98 volkswagen beetle last Tuesday and was wondering if I should junk it or try and sell it?

Plus I have to pay for the other parts too.

if your frame is bent junk it. and it is hard to see by your self. get it checked by a pro. if it isnt then it is worth fixing. GL

You pay $50 to junk it and $5 to post an ad to sell it. Might as well try to sell it. A lot of people use the parts.

well its a 98 so its pretty new for a car, not an antique or something! But you did do a LOT of damage under the hood and that can cost a large amount money to fix up man. If you don't want to put in the money, dock the car's price by a fourth of what it'd cost to repair it, you can try to sell it then. Just keep trying to sell it, docking the price a little as time goes on. If it doesn't sell still you can sell it to the junkyard. It'd be nice if you dismembered the car, then the junkyard won't rip you off as much, they give you more per piece.
You could also take it apart and sell the parts, if you'd rather do that then they'll sell easily. Some parts ppl r willing to pay a lot for because they are rarely sold single.

Motors are an easy change. Take out the old one put in a new one or bigger one. People do it just because So long as the body is in good shape and the interior and the suspension it is worth the effort. Someone will buy it.

First of all, you do not have a timing chain. However in the situation you are in, you may want to get a used engine and drop it in. How did you damage the engine, but not the body?

Part it out. As long as you have somewhere to park it, you should be able to get some money from the parts and put it toward your next vehicle.
