How can my fiance get a title to his car?

My fiance has a 1991 Nissian Sentra. He bought it about to years ago from a junk yard in GA. He now lives in TN. He doesn't have a title or a bill of sale to this car. We called the junk yard but they don't recall selling that car to him. How can he get a title?

Did he title and register the car in his name when he bought it?
If so, he just needs to apply for a lost title at the County Treasurers office where it was titled. If he didn't title and register in his name when he bought it, he's screwed.

you can get a junk car title, call the license branch and ask them about it. but you will have to have a bill of sale. you could always forge one!!!! they'll never know. the junk car title or ask about a lost title. there are alot of routes you could go.
